RFD America: Describe your relationship with the rural community.
Ambassador Keyes: I have a lot of good support in rural areas because of the things I stand for, for freedom and liberty. These are fundamental values in rural areas. Government policies have been systematically destroying the foundations of rural America. I’ve been concerned about this for years.
RFD America: What is your opinion of the NAIS?
Ambassador Keyes: To me this is a simple issue. The government has failed to integrate crops and livestock into a strong domestic security policy. Instead, the federal government somehow got the notion to sacrifice the liberty of livestock owners to protect their failed security programs. Open borders have left our farmers exposed to disease. The NAIS is an assault on the liberty of our citizens and destroys private enterprise. It does nothing to protect the food supply. Read more….
